Two services, one visit, one call-out fee. That is the practical reason carpet cleaning Palm Beach and a pest treatment get booked together, and a recent job there shows what actually changes on the day.

This was a first time customer in Palm Beach. They wanted the carpets cleaned and a general pest treatment done, and they asked whether both could happen on the same day rather than booking two separate visits. They could, so that is how it ran.
The reason they asked was cost. Two visits means two call-outs. One visit means one. For someone weighing up whether to do both at all, that difference is often what decides it, and there is no good reason to charge a person twice for the same trip down the driveway.
Running both services together only works if they run in the right sequence. The pest treatment goes down first. The carpet clean follows.
Do it the other way round and you have people walking a freshly treated perimeter while the carpet is still damp. That disturbs the treatment before it has had a chance to settle, and it puts foot traffic across carpet that should be left alone. Neither is a disaster. Both are avoidable by simply doing it in order.
The carpet side runs on truck mounted extraction, which is the unit sitting in the back of the van in the photo above. The pest side is done by a licensed technician. Worth being precise here, because plenty of operators are vague about it: pest control genuinely requires a licence in Queensland. Carpet cleaning does not, and we do not imply otherwise.
This customer had used a different pest provider before us and had not been happy with the result. That came up early, so it was worth being straight about what actually makes a pest treatment hold.
Most of the time, a treatment that seems not to have worked was simply a one-off. Pests come back from outside, because outside is where they live. A single spray in isolation deals with what is there on the day and nothing after that. What changes the result is a consistent schedule, so the barrier is renewed before it has fully broken down rather than long after.
That was the advice, and it was not a pitch for a bigger job. If a property only needs a treatment once a year, that is what we say.
There is no single number for this, and anyone giving you one over the phone is guessing. The carpet side moves with the number of rooms and the state of the carpet. The pest side moves with the size of the property and what is being treated. A three bedroom house with carpet in good condition and a straightforward perimeter treatment is a different job to a larger property with staining through the living areas.
The fixed part is the minimum call-out fee, $145 plus GST, anywhere from Gold Coast to Tweed Heads. Booked together, you pay it once. Tell us the property size, roughly what condition the carpet is in, and what you are actually seeing pest-wise, and you will have an honest estimate before anything starts. We say estimate rather than quote on purpose, because until we have seen the property we genuinely do not know what we are walking into.
It is the same approach we take to Gold Coast carpet cleaning generally. Look first, price second, and tell you the awkward part before the job rather than after it.
Tell us about the job in 60 seconds. Personal reply, usually the same day. No pressure, no lock-in, no call centre.
