Gold Coast Urgent Carpet Cleaning Burleigh Waters. A family member called us urgently on behalf of a parent who was about to come home from hospital, and the carpet needed to be dealt with before that happened.

The call came from a family member, arranging it on behalf of a parent. Their parent was in hospital, and the family wanted the carpet sorted before they came home.
When we arrived there was significant blood through the carpeted areas, other bodily fluids as well, and a strong smell in the house. We will leave the detail there. It is somebody's home, and what matters is what was done about it.
The blood stains were removed, and the carpet was treated with an antimicrobial enzyme treatment. The photo above is a strip of bedroom carpet beside the bed, before and after.
A call like this is never planned, and it does not have to come from the person who lives there. What the person calling usually wants is for it to be handled quietly and properly.
Blood is a protein stain. Heat cooks those proteins into the carpet fibre, the same way heat sets an egg, and once that happens the stain is far harder to shift.
So the rule on the blood itself is cold, never hot. It is the same method set out in our guide on how to clean blood from carpet: cold water and a mild detergent solution, blotted from the outside of the stain inward, never rubbed.
The other rule is time. A fresh blood stain lifts far more easily than one that has dried in. If you are dealing with one before help arrives, blot it with cold water, do not scrub, and do not reach for anything hot or for a household product you have not tested on that carpet.
The visible stain is only part of it. Bodily fluids soak down through the fibre into the backing, and sometimes into the underlay. That is usually where the smell is coming from, below the part you can see.
Masking a smell like that does not last. An antimicrobial enzyme treatment works at the source instead: the enzymes break down the organic matter, and the antimicrobial side deals with the bacteria feeding on it. It treats what you cannot see as well as what you can.
We use an antibacterial enzyme treatment as standard, and an antimicrobial enzyme treatment where the soiling is heavier and more established. A call like this one is squarely the second.
The honest position is the same as with any deep soiling. If fluid has gone right through into the underlay, we tell you on the day what we expect the treatment to achieve, rather than promising more than a carpet can give.
When a family member is coming home, the carpet is one small part of a much bigger week. A few things make it easier.
Book it ahead of the homecoming, not on the day. Carpet is usually walkable within a few hours, but it is better completely dry, and the room aired out, before anyone settles back in. Leave a margin.
Keep the air moving. Open the windows, run the ceiling fans, and leave the doors of the treated rooms open. Gold Coast humidity slows drying, so airflow matters more here than in a lot of places.
Tell us what happened, plainly. We do not need the story, just what the stains are and roughly where. That decides which treatment we bring, and we keep it discreet.
It does not have to be the homeowner who calls. A family member can arrange it on someone else's behalf, as happened here.
Our hours are Monday to Friday 7am to 8pm and Saturday 7am to 5pm. If something urgent happens, call in those hours and we will tell you honestly when we can get there.
Pricing follows the size of the affected area and what it needs. The minimum call-out fee is $145 plus GST, the same across the Gold Coast to Tweed Heads area, and you get an estimate rather than a quote, because the extent of it is confirmed in front of the carpet. More on the service is on the carpet cleaning page and the carpet cleaning Burleigh Waters page.
