Robina is a regular part of our run

Robina is a large master-planned suburb in the central Gold Coast, with a mix of owner-occupied homes, rental properties, townhouses and apartments around the town centre. It is central enough that we are through the area regularly, working alongside nearby Varsity Lakes, Merrimac, Reedy Creek and Mudgeeraba, not an occasional detour out of our normal territory.

What pest control in Robina actually involves

The process does not change because of the postcode. We assess the property in person, tell you honestly what we are dealing with, then treat for whatever is active using family and pet safe methods. A standard general pest treatment covers cockroaches, ants and spiders. Rodents, fleas, silverfish, wasps, midges, mosquitoes and vinegar flies are part of the service too, booked on as add ons rather than included by default. We do not do termites. If a property shows signs of termite activity, we say so plainly and point the owner toward a licensed termite specialist rather than take on work outside our scope.

A regular client, going further than required

We recently carried out a pest treatment on a Robina home for a long-time repeat client who was selling the property, even though pest control was not a condition of the sale. We have handled the carpet cleaning and pest control for this client every time they have sold a property over the years, and they are always mindful of leaving more than what is strictly required for the new owners. It is refreshing to work with people who think that way. Why some Robina properties see a bit more activity

Properties closer to the Robina Town Centre lake precinct are the main reason we get called out here for ants, spiders and cockroaches a little more than some suburbs further from water. The waterway vegetation around the lakes and canals gives all three plenty of places to shelter, and where homes sit close together, pests can move between properties through shared fence lines and garden beds. None of this means Robina has a worse pest problem than anywhere else on the Gold Coast, the same general pests turn up across the whole region. It just means a scheduled treatment tends to matter a bit more for properties near the water than for a block further inland.

What it costs, and how long it lasts

There is no flat rate for a treatment itself, the same as everywhere else we work. Cost depends on the property size, which pests are active, and how much access the property allows. What does not change is the minimum call-out fee. It is $145 plus GST across the entire Gold Coast to Tweed Heads area, Robina included. How long a treatment lasts depends on the pest, not the suburb: Australian cockroach treatments carry a 6 month warranty, ants carry a 3 month warranty, webbing spiders carry a warranty, and other spiders do not. Silverfish and fleas are add ons rather than part of a standard treatment. A warranty on silverfish may apply depending on the circumstances at your particular property and on the infestation itself, assessed on an as needs basis. Fleas are different: a rental exit or precautionary flea treatment carries no warranty, and on an active infestation a warranty applies only where the full three step treatment is done indoors and outdoors, the pets are treated and stay on prevention, and the follow up visit is taken. There is no fixed period, it is set per infestation and written on your service report. They roam in from outside constantly, which is why it is judged property by property rather than promised flat. For a rental exit, pest control and a carpet clean can usually be booked into the same visit rather than two separate call-outs.
