A carpet clean the morning of a party sounds efficient, but damp carpet underfoot is not the impression most hosts want. Booking 2 to 3 days ahead gives the carpet time to fully dry and settle, so it looks and feels its best on the day.

Guests notice high traffic areas first: the entry, the hallway, and wherever people gather. These are worth prioritising if time is tight, along with any lingering pet or cooking odours that a fresh clean can genuinely address rather than mask.

Entry points, living areas and anywhere seating is likely to concentrate all deserve attention. If the couch will also see heavy use, it is often worth booking that in the same visit rather than as an afterthought.

Yes, when odour sources are properly treated. We use antibacterial enzyme treatment on pet accidents rather than fragrance that only masks the smell temporarily.
What if I only have one day's notice?
It can still help, particularly on high traffic areas, but expect a longer drying window and plan furniture and foot traffic around it.
Should I get the couch cleaned as well before hosting?
If it will see heavy use during the event, yes, many households book couch and carpet cleaning together for exactly this reason.
