Gold Coast carpet cleaning Mudgeeraba, at a house where indoor pets had left the carpet heavily soiled in certain areas. It is a home we already look after, and the visit ran in the order every pet home gets: antimicrobial enzyme treatment throughout, then truck mounted extraction with the right rinse.

This is a bedroom in a Mudgeeraba house. On the left is the carpet before we started, with darker patches where the soiling had built up. On the right is the same floor after the clean.
Heavily soiled in certain areas is how the job read on the day. Not the whole house evenly, but the spots the pets favour. That pattern is normal with indoor pets, and it is why one room can look tired while the next looks fine.
Look closely at the after shot and a faint shadow is still there in the middle of the room. That is the honest part of the result. The soiling came out. Where a patch has sat long enough to mark the fibre itself, it lightens a long way rather than vanishing, and we would rather show that than crop it out.
Pet soiling is organic. What you can see on top is only part of it. The rest sits lower in the pile and around the base of the fibre, where a vacuum never reaches.
An antibacterial enzyme treatment is our standard in pet homes. Where the soiling is heavier and more established, like this one, it steps up to an antimicrobial enzyme treatment. The enzymes break the organic matter down at the source instead of masking it.
It went through the whole carpeted area, not just the patches you could see. Pets do not only use the spots that show. Treating the whole floor deals with the parts that have not marked yet, and it is what makes a room smell clean afterwards rather than just look cleaner.
What it does not mean is hot water or steam thrown at the worst patches. Heat sets an acidic pet stain into the fibre, and scrubbing pushes it sideways and down. The treatment does the breaking down. The extraction takes it away.
Once the treatment has had time to work, the carpet goes through truck mounted extraction. The machine stays in the van and the hose comes inside, which is where the suction comes from.
The rinse is the step people rarely hear about. Cleaning and treatment products have to come back out of the carpet, not stay in it. Carpet left with residue in the fibre feels slightly stiff or sticky, and that residue grabs fresh dirt. It is a big reason some carpets look grubby again within weeks of a clean.
The right rinse lifts that residue out and brings the fibre back towards its natural pH. Phil's own line on it is that carpets always come up good after a truck mount, and the rinse is a large part of why they stay that way.
Indoor pets and carpet get along fine. It just changes the maintenance.
Most homes are well served by a professional clean every 12 months. Homes with pets, young kids or allergies do better on 6 to 9 months, because soiling builds faster, and the longer it sits the more chance it has to mark the fibre.
Between cleans, deal with accidents while they are fresh. Blot rather than scrub, and keep heat away from it. Our pet odour guide covers the first few minutes, and there is more in our carpet cleaning for pet owners post.
It follows the number of carpeted rooms, counted one per room, and how much enzyme treatment the carpet actually needs. A light refresh and a carpet heavily soiled in certain areas are priced differently because they are different amounts of work.
The minimum call-out fee is $145 plus GST, the same across the Gold Coast to Tweed Heads area. You get an estimate rather than a quote, because condition is something we confirm in front of the carpet. The Mudgeeraba carpet cleaning page covers the local side, and the full process is on the carpet cleaning Gold Coast page.
